Facilitated by experienced Gender therapist Johnna Ekdahl, this groups provides a safe and supportive environment to get infomationa and express your concerns and get the support you need.

Verbena Presents the 4th Annual Transgender Health Fair.
Saturday October 6th from 11am to 5pm at Seattle Central Community College
on Broadway Street in Capital Hilll, Seattle.

The Health Fair will feature:

Health Screenings:
CBE (clinical breast/chest exam), Paps/Cervical, Blood Pressure, Blood Glucose,
Leg/Vein Health, Massage, Accupuncture, HIV tests, Appointments for STD testing,
Mammograms in conjunction with Seattle Black Pride, and much more...

Vendors to inlude:
Gay City, Verbena, Seattle Counseling, the LGBT Center/Ingersoll Gender Center, NorthWest Network,
American Friends Service Committee, GLSEN, and many others

Workshops will cover:
Safe Hormone Injection & Shooting w/ Demonstration.
Trans 101 & 201.
Trans Youth & Schools
Trans Body Positive Safe Sex

Verbena's Transgender Health Projects cover a wide range of referral, support,
health education, and one-on-one advocacy and case management services for
folks current undergoing or exploring gender transition. We focus on harm-reduction
approaches and low-cost methods of transition while focusing on client-centered
approaches to transitions in whatever forms that may mean.

QArts, the arts committee of the Seattle LGBT Community Center is proud to present, VAMPIRE PIXIES FROM URANUS, the October group art show in the Center Gallery at 1115 E Pike Street running from October 1st thru the 31st. Twenty LGBTQ artists and their friends have created works of painting, sculpture and photography in celebration of the worlds of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror. Slithery, serpentine monsters, winged angelic deities, tortured racks of bones and space ships out of a Flash Gordon serial are just a few of the images you’ll encounter on the walls of the Center’s Gallery during the month.

A little history about Girl4GIRL Productions Inc and sole owner (Chris Chappon)

Girl4GIRL has been hosting the Pacific Northwest’s largest monthly all-women’s events and supporting the LGBT Community for over nine years. Girl4GIRL was awarded 2006 NWSource Top Pick for Gay/Lesbian Dance Club and voted Top 10 nationwide by Planetout.com. Girl4GIRL is proud to support and honor many local non-profit fundraisers for Seattle’s LGBT Community. Our generous and active audience will be wildly enthused to Rock Against Cancer for a 3rd time! Chris Chappon lost her mother after she was misdiagnosed with cancer and passed away at a young age of 50. While planning and executing this year’s 3rd Annual Rock Against Cancer Benefit, a dear friend of 12 years lost her battle with breast cancer. Chris Chappon’s unbridled passion for her business and the Cancer Benefits held each year are due to her love and devotion to her mother and her many friends that have been affected by the disease.
