The Umbrella Gang
Submitted by annab2 on Tue, 10/02/2007 - 10:04.The Umbrella Gang is the reincarnation of Seattle's previous Queer Urban Alliance for Women, started in 2003 with a thriving community of over 130 women!
We hope to reinvoke the diverse, adventurous, intelligent, and caring community that we built in years past. We are hopeful that with renewed energy and commitment, we can build an even stronger sense of connection and support for lesbian and queer identified women in the Puget Sound area.
The Umbrella Gang will host urban adventures, group discussion series on queer-centered topics, and support circles in addition to celebrating each other's achievements, birthdays, anniversaries, adoptions, transitions, etc.

Mature Friends
Submitted by thehawke on Sun, 09/16/2007 - 17:49.Never letting moss grow underfoot, Mature Friends is an active group. From simply playing bridge or pinochle to travel abroad to competing and winning medals in the Gay Games every four years, you’ll surely find an activity to entice you. Remember that large groups have the clout to negotiate lower rates on any kind of activity, from theater tickets to trips overseas. This clout leaves you with more money for shopping, dining in fancy restaurants, or splurging on anything else that appeals to you. And you get the added advantage of enjoying these activities with a ready-made group of people who share your interests.
