Maybe Baby

Synopsis: 
For LGBT people who might want to be parents
Description: 

 Maybe Baby is a Seattle support group for lesbian, gay, bisexual,
transgender and queer people who are interested in becoming parents. All are welcome. We
share stories and information about pregnancy planning, adoption, fostering and (maybe)
babies.

We meet monthly in Seattle and also have a listserve to share ideas, support, and success
stories.

The Umbrella Gang

Synopsis: 
The Umbrella Gang is a women's social group promoting a sense of connection and support for lesbian and queer identified women in the Puget Sound area.
Description: 

The Umbrella Gang is the reincarnation of Seattle's previous Queer Urban Alliance for Women, started in 2003 with a thriving community of over 130 women!

We hope to reinvoke the diverse, adventurous, intelligent, and caring community that we built in years past. We are hopeful that with renewed energy and commitment, we can build an even stronger sense of connection and support for lesbian and queer identified women in the Puget Sound area.

The Umbrella Gang will host urban adventures, group discussion series on queer-centered topics, and support circles in addition to celebrating each other's achievements, birthdays, anniversaries, adoptions, transitions, etc.

Lesbians over 40s Group

Synopsis: 
Social group for lesbians over 40.
Description: 

This is a drop-in group for lesbians interested in extending their friendship circle & having fun. Every week there is a facilitated discussion & lots of outside acitivities.

Long Yang Club

Synopsis: 
Welcome to LONG YANG CLUB INTERNATIONAL - the world's largest network of gay Asian/non-Asian groups.
Description: 

LYCI is the coordinating body for all of the LYC Chapters
throughout the world and every Chapter is a member.
Other non-LYC groups may be permitted to become members
at the discretion of the LYCI executive committee, but
usually only where the group in question accepts the
principles and objects of the Long Yang Club and fully
supports the LYC network.

 

LYCI is governed by a written constitution (click here for text of LYCI Constitution) and by-laws. It
is managed by a board of executive officers (click for more info) who are elected annually by the
individual Chapters at the LYCI AGM which is held at the annual convention.

Bottom Dwellers

Synopsis: 
We are a lesbian and gay scuba diving club in Seattle, Washington.
Description: 

We have members throughout Washington State, as well as British Columbia. We do have some straight members as well. The emphasis is on diving.

We host many local dives. Our members also dive other areas throughout the Pacific Northwest, as well as many warm water locations including Thailand, Mexico, and other areas in the Caribbean.

Border Riders Motorcycle Club

Synopsis: 
The Border Riders Motorcycle Club provides social and educational opportunities for members and other gay men interested in recreational motorcycle touring.
Description: 

Our diverse, international membership of over 45 men hails from Washington, Oregon, and British Columbia. Composed of seasoned riders as well as novice, we come from all walks of life and professions.

The Border Riders Motorcycle Club promotes motorcycle safety and education, on safe and legal machinery, following all applicable laws and regulations. We welcome any motorcycle capable of sustained highways
speeds.

Men of All Colors and Cultures Together is a predominantly gay and bisexual, multiracial, multicultural organization for all people committed to the fostering of supportive environments wherein racial and cultural barriers can be overcome and the goal of human equality realized.

Mature Friends

Our active, fun-loving group of over 200 members meets regularly to share common interests such as hiking, cooking, playing bridge or pinochle, dining out, going to theater, and traveling.

From simply playing bridge or pinochle to travel abroad to competing and winning medals in the Gay Games every four years, you’ll surely find an activity to entice you. Freely Speaking Toastmasters is "open to everyone" and is created by and for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Community of the Seattle area, and enhances the opportunities of Toastmasters International by providing an open environment that is professional, affirming, and FUN.

We have a very diverse group giving us a wonderful collection of personalities and interesting speeches.

Whether it is speaking up at a meeting, voicing a political idea, meeting people for the first time, giving a eulogy, introducing someone on stage or daily social interaction, the skill of speaking in front of a group of people is becoming more important then ever.
